Race Comments: MIDNIGHT LUTE was taken in hand after breaking a bit
slowly, trailed along the backstretch, angled out on the far turn, made a strong move nearing the quarter pole, circled six
wide into the stretch, gained steadily to overtake FATAL BULLET nearing the sixteenth pole then drew clear under steady urging.
FATAL BULLET pressed the early pace from outside, opened a clear advantage midway on the turn, maintained a clear lead into
midstretch but couldn't withstand the winners late charge then returned bleeding from his mouth. STREET BOSS was outrun early
along the rail, altered course to the outside leaving the turn, advanced five wide into the stretch and closed late to gain
a share. IN SUMMATION bobbled slightly a stride away from the gate, was unhurried for a half, advanced seven wide into the
stretch and rallied mildly. FABULOUS STRIKE rushed up inside, raced in traffic between horses midway on the turn, dropped
back leaving the quarter pole and steadily tired thereafter. SING BABY SING was outrun for a half, advanced in the two path
entering the stretch, made a run to reach contention in midstretch and flattened out. BLACK SEVENTEEN stalked three wide for
a half and steadily tired thereafter. FIRST DEFENCE dueled along the rail on the backstretch and gave way on the turn.
