Race Comments: STARDOM BOUND dropped
back soon after the start, was outrun while well off the rail along the backstretch, made a bold five wide move to challenge
at the top of the stretch, took command inside the three-sixteenths pole, maintained a clear advantage approaching the sixteenth
pole then held off DREAM EXPRESS under strong left hand encouragement. DREAM EMPRESS was rated well back in the two path for
five furlongs, raced in traffic between horses leaving the far turn, split rivals midway on the turn, swung six wide at the
quarter pole then closed steadily in the middle of the track but could not catch the winner while clearly best of the others.
SKY DIVA was well placed along the inside for a good part of the way, awaited room behind rivals while saving ground on the
turn, altered course to the outside for room in upper stretch and finished willingly to narrowly gain a share. DAVE'S REVENGE
raced well back along the rail for six furlongs, raced in traffic while saving ground through the turn, angled out in upper
stretch and continued on well despite being nipped late for the show. PERSISTENTLY raced far back to the turn, circled seven
wide into the stretch and rallied belatedly. VAN LEAR ROSE steadied in traffic on the first turn, raced just off the pace
along the backstretch, was in traffic between horses on the turn, drifted out in upper stretch and lacked a strong late response.
C. S. SILK took the lead leaving the first turn, set the pace along the rail into upper stretch and steadily tired thereafter.
BLACK MAGIC MAMA raced in the middle of the pack for most of the way, steadied sharply in tight at the quarter pole and failed
to threaten thereafter. EVITA ARGENTINA saved ground for five furlongs, swung seven wide at the top of the stretch and lacked
a late response. DOREMIFASOLLATIDO raced evenly while five wide throughout. PURSUIT OF GLORY (IRE) raced behind horses while
four wide to the turn and lacked a further response. BE SMART moved out entering the backstretch, pressed the pace into upper
stretch and gave way. PALACIO DE AMOR stalked five wide along the backstretch, lodged a brief bid on the turn and gave way.
